SWEET SALVAGE

If you live here in the Phoenix area and you have not yet been to Sweet Salvage you must go! Sweet Salvage is an amazingly merchandised "flea market" where everything is unimaginably cool and beautiful (you won't find any tables full of expired avon products here). The only catch...it's only open four days out of the month (the third thurs, fri, sat, sun) creating a serious sense of urgency for its patrons. So if you love something, buy it, as it probably won't be there when you come back! However, don't worry if you miss something, with an ever rotating supply of merchandise you're sure to find something amazing each time you go.  Sweet Salvage is located in the hip Melrose district on 7th Ave. in Phoenix. MY FIRST BLOG

Ok. This is it. I'm officially blogging. Not sure what that means but I think its going to be alright. I guess I should begin by introducing myself. My name is Meilan. I am half Chinese and half...well, American. I am a little over a third done with my life and I have yet to feel like I have my place. And I figured  that somewhere in this digital infinite abyss there's gotta be some room for me somewhere! I love art, I love fashion, I love fabric and I love flowers. I wanted to find a safe place to store all of these things I love and all of the inspiration and ideas they provoke before I forget them all. This may be the perfect place for me to share all that I love. Soooo... here  goes.

NEW YORK

In an effort to make up for lost blogging time, I'd like to offer some images of the most inspirational city in  America, New York. I was there last October with my family and Ted. We went to Central Park, the MOMA, SOHO, China town, Gordon Ramses restaurant at The London, all within just two days. It was awesome. There's no place like it. The images I found the most appealing were the ones of the buildings. You just don't see that kind of architecture out here in hometown USA. Just a lot of strip malls, which I suppose could have their beauty as well...but come on.
